St. Louis Area top 40 boys high school basketball large and small team rankings 12/19/2019

Comparing my top 40 large/small boys high school basketball teams to the Post Dispatch rankings

I have listed two sets of tables below for your consideration:
1. The latest Post Dispatch top 20 large and small boys high school basketball teams for the St. Louis area with my algorithm-based power rating added to the right of each team.
2. I posted the top 40 large and small St. Louis area boys teams based on my own ratings.  When I say St. Louis area, I have expanded that to include both the greater St. Louis area and the Cape/Boot heel region, which has some great talent.

I don't know if I want to comment too much on the ratings since I get in trouble with my daughter about my posts and since my grandson's team might some day play some of the teams my unbiased computer model "dis-likes", but I will bring up a couple of positive things.

Obviously, everyone thinks Belleville West is a nationally power and I don't argue that but Sikeston, who is undefeated, beat a great Cape Central team by 7 and a very good Confluence team by 40! so watch out for the Bulldogs and the Cape Central Tigers.  McCluer North is blowing teams away and I look forward to seeing them in action at Coaches vs. Cancer.  And, East St. Louis and Collinsville make the east side of the river a hotbed of great basketball. The List goes on and on....

Over-rated teams?  Not going to go there.... just look down the list at my ratings to see what my computer calculated their rating to be (and I think Hillsboro beat one of them last night).  Ooops.
